Birthday

Tonight we went over to celebrate Don's birthday....another happy~sad occasion. Happy because it's another birthday, sad because the reality of Marianne's murder is once again the unspoken guest at the meal.  I saw a picture of her and her sisters and it brought such sorrow.  I guess at some point, the sad feelings will someday be replaced with happy memories.  Right now memories make me sad, not happy.

I find comfort in Psalm 34:18 "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."  

Thank you Lord that Your promises prove true!
