Wednesday Word of the Day

Season
/se*zn/
*a fit or suitable time; the usual or appointed time.

Yesterday marked the 9th month since Marianne was killed.  We got an email from the detective telling us some very promising news.  We realized that the good news came on the 9th and rejoiced in the encouragement that it brought on a day marked with sadness.

I was reminded of Proverbs 15:23 "To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!"  Another translation says, "...how delightful is a timely word."

At the "suitable" and "appointed" time, God moved and sent us a word in season to encourage us.  Isn't that just like God!  He's usually never early, but always on time in letting us know He is still sovereign and at work at all times on our behalf.

Thank you Father for this good news and for the perfect timing of its arrival.
